Hamburg, January 22, 2010 - Fritz Oidtmann has been appointed to the supervisory body of the publicly listed XING AG (ISIN: DE000XNG888), based in Hamburg, Germany, thereby becoming successor to Lars Hinrichs. Mr. Oidtmann (49) is Managing Director of Burda Digital Commerce GmbH and CHIP Holding GmbH, as well as being Spokesman of the Executive Board of Cyberport GmbH and computeruniverse.net GmbH. He was a founding partner and member of the Management Board of OnVista. Previously to this, Mr. Oidtmann was employed over a period of twelve years at the international management consultancy firm McKinsey & Company, rising through the ranks to become a partner at the company’s Cologne office. In this capacity he held overall responsibility for the commercial sector in Germany. During his career at the management consultancy, Mr. Oidtmann also held positions at their offices in Dusseldorf, Sao Paulo and Paris, amongst others. He studied Economics at the University of Bonn and the University of California, Berkeley.

“With his wealth of experience in the fields of Internet and finance, Fritz Oidtmann is set to become a valuable asset to our Supervisory Board and we very much look forward to working with him,” commented Dr. Neil Sunderland, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of XING AG. At the same time, both the Management Board and Supervisory Board acknowledge the valuable contribution of the company founder, who is stepping down from his supervisory role. “Under the helm of Lars Hinrichs, XING grew within a very short space of time from one of Europe’s most successful online start-ups into a growth company and a well-established capital market player. His initial idea to start building professional networks online has since evolved into Europe’s most actively used business network, profiting from an extremely successful business model. We would like to thank him for his valuable and expert cooperation on the Supervisory Board and wish him every success in his entrepreneurial ventures,” Dr. Sunderland said.
