Lars Hinrichs founds the Company in Hamburg and the openBC platform goes online.
The first XING groups are launched and the first official XING event held. More than 500,000 people are registered on the platform.

The new XING
In December 2010 XING takes over Munich-based amiando AG, Europe's leading online event management and ticketing provider. "The new XING" is launched.
Social recruiting market leader
XING acquires kununu, the leading employer review platform in German-speaking countries. This acquisition allows XING to boost its position as social recruiting market leader.
XING launches XING Jobs and ProJobs.
XING becomes a unicorn company
XING acquires Intelligence Competence Center AG and, with it, the Jobbörse.com website. With more than 2.5 million jobs, Jobbörse.com is the largest jobs search engine in German-speaking countries. XING launches its content offensive.
eqipia joins XING
XING takes over "BuddyBroker AG" including their signature product "eqipia". This is a cutting-edge employee referral program which becomes the latest addition to XING's extensive e-recruitment portfolio.
Prescreen and InterNations join XING
The Prescreen applicant tracking system and InterNations expat network both become part of XING. More than 1,000 employees now work for XING.
Over 15 Million members interact in around 80,000 groups on the social media platform XING. Now more than 1,500 employees work for XING.
Honeypot becomes part of XING
XING acquires Honeypot, the leading IT job platform in German-speaking countries. It's the largest acquisition in the company’s history.
