User Experience / Interface Designer (m/f)

Olá Porto! XING is the social network for business professionals with millions of members all over the world. Help us shape the future – for a better working life! We currently have an opening at XING News GmbH in Hamburg. 

We are looking for two experienced User Experience Designers to work in our brand new team setup in Porto. You’ll be part of the most dynamically growing XING office and at the same time connect with 50 other designers across XING’s European offices.

A challenging task

  • You work closely with the product owner to crate new features for your products;
  • You’ll work in an agile environment with developers to deliver intuitive, functional and deliverable solutions;
  • You’ll create and reassure designs for new features and enhancements based on concepts, prototypes, user insights and data analytics;
  • You’ll continuously challenge the status quo and suggest optimisations from a design and product perspective;
  • You’ll apply user-centric thinking to come up with solutions our users will love to interact with;
  • You’ll work closely with other platform designers at XING to align on defined design standards.

A convincing background

  • You’re able to communicate clearly and foster a strong team bond, both in person as well as remotely;
  • You have a strong desire to solve complex problems with multiple interdependencies;
  • You can justify your design solutions with clear and focussed logic;
  • You are intrinsically motivated when it comes to pointing out problems, but are always able and willing to offer a suggestion as to how problems can be solved;
  • You’re able to give an opinion on visuals/graphics, and have a strong understanding of technology;
  • You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in interface/interaction/graphic design or related fields;
  • You have at least 4 years experience working in a UX/UI design position;
  • You love working with Sketch;
  • You have an online portfolio or samples of your work you can show to demonstrate your experience;
  • You are fluent in English.
