XING Summer School Intern (m/f) –
Software Engineering

We are looking for up to 5 summer interns with a software engineering background who are ready to get a taste of life as a software engineer in a production team, shipping code to millions of users.  You will be starting with your student peers and will then join one of our demanding teams, building user-facing solutions in real-time messaging and bots, social networking, member growth, news, e-commerce.

An inspiring program alongside

An onboarding boot camp, deep technical onboarding, intense methodology and soft skills training, networking events as well as career guidance will round off your experience with us. No matter whether your internship is voluntary or mandatory, we will pay you €1,540 per month.

A convincing background

  • Students interested in developing cutting edge web- and mobile applications that scale to a large number of users
  • Code-savvy people who have already built software in a (semi) professional environment that has actual users (applying with github profile or code sample a definite plus)
  • Craftsmen and craftswomen who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty in ruby, javascript, elixir, objectiveC, java and the usual web technologies, in a real-world agile team that ships actual software to living users
  • Communicators (English fluency and German suitable for small talk) and interactors open to an international working environment
  • Learning animals ready to leave their comfort zone
  • Academic studies (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • Graduation in 2017/18 is a plus
