One day I received an invitation to an intercultural conference in Barcelona, Spain. Unfortunately I could not attend, but was very interested in connecting with Elisa Alberto, who had invited me. Her profile was more than interesting to me.
Italian nationality, au pair in USA, attended university in England and France, received a master’s degree in the Netherlands, now living in Vienna. Wow, I was impressed! I started talking to her and telling her about my network of intercultural trainers I am building, and about The Culture Zone. Elisa Alberto was more than interested in joining me in Switzerland and visiting The Culture Zone at some point. Some months later she came to Zurich where we first met. We then spent two exciting days, doing business, getting to know each other and planning projects for the future! Elisa, I’d like to thank you at this point again for the courage in visiting me in Switzerland as well as making such a difference at the Culture Zone, talking about 3rd generation kids! Looking forward to seeing you again somewhere in this world!
What’s unique about my story is that people with the same interests and passion first get to know each other based upon a virtual connection, and then finally meet in person - and the match works!!!
