Master Thesis at XING (m/f)

We currently have a job opening for a Master/Diploma Thesis in the Engineering Department, available at the soonest possible starting date. The position is based at our headquarters in Hamburg, Germany.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Writing of your diploma or Master’s thesis on one of the topics outlined below
  • Involvement in the development and implementation of respective products and processes
  • Active cooperation as part of a dynamic team

 

Possible Topics:

  • Topic 1: Real-time detection of misuse on the basis of live data.
  • Topic 2: Aggregation of monitoring data to a simple alarm system.
  • Topic 3: XING website performance optimization.
  • Topic 4: XING code smells? The use of code metrics in the development process.

 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Student studying for a degree in Computer Sciences, Information Management or similar specialization
  • Very good standard of knowledge of the topic area selected
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Enthusiasm for in solving complex problems in creative ways
  • Good interpersonal skills and a good level of English
  • Ideally, initial experience working in a Web-related field
