Manager Engineering/ Ruby on Rails Artist - Hamburg (m/f)

We currently have a job opening for a Manager Engineering/ Developer (Ruby on Rails), available at the soonest possible starting date. The position is based at our headquarters in Hamburg, Germany.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of future additions to the XING platform using Ruby on Rails
  • Diligent software documentation and versioning
  • Work together with product managers in technically evaluating the planned implementations

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 3 or more years of proven experience in developing Websites and applications
  • Implementation of at least one major project with Ruby on Rails, being exposed to the full development cycle
  • In-depth knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g. Ruby, Java, C++, Python, PHP5, Perl) and general OOP concepts
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies, in particular agile development and testing
  • A spirit for open source software is a plus
  • Fluency in English and German
