We currently have a job opening for a Manager Corporate Communications Spain, available at the soonest possible starting date. The position is based at our office in Barcelona, Spain.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Involvement in growing a strong relationship network with press representatives and interested parties in Spain, together with the VP Corporate Communications and Spanish Country Manager
  • Conception and realization of communication activities designed to boost XING’s reputation and brand profile in Spain, working closely with the Headquarters in Hamburg
  • Creation of journalistic content and press material
  • Coordination of journalistic requests and intensive networking efforts with journalists and opinion leaders
  • Maintenance of the press mailing list and online “Press” section (Content Management)
  • Responsibility for and realization of your own communication projects
  • Design and upkeep of media resonance analyses
  • Controlling
  • Interdisciplinary work within the team

 
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven professional experience in the Public Relations and/or Communications (preferably Corporate Communications) sector
  • University degree in Communication and Media Studies
  • Experience in Web 2.0 communication and dealing with the Spanish blogosphere
  • Extensive contacts to journalists from the regional and national press in Spain (both online and offline media)
  • Expertise in the field of Crisis Communication
  • Service-oriented way of thinking
  • A talent for organization, with very good journalistic and conceptual skills
  • A willingness and ability to line up and convey communication subjects in an operative manner
  • Enthusiasm, ability to work under the pressure of a large workload, flexibility
  • Excellent Spanish and English; a third language would be advantageous
