We currently have a job opening for a Developer Business Intelligence, available at the soonest possible starting date. The position is based at our headquarters in Hamburg, Germany.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and test specific Business Intelligence solutions
  • Work in daily operational BI business spanning all areas, including customer analytics, reporting, data mining and campaign management
  • Optimize the Business Intelligence department by setting up new projects and proactively suggesting and implementing BI improvements
  • Perform various data analyses: generate, maintain, and publish various queries and reports based upon departmental and enterprise needs
  • Consult on business decisions based on customer insights

 
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Three or more years of proven experience in the area of Business Intelligence and Web Analytics
  • Comprehensive understanding of core Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing technologies (ETL, OLAP, Data Mining)
  • Excellent programming skills in Java and SQL (minimum three years’ experience)
  • Applicant feels comfortable in a Linux/Open Source development environment
  • Experience in project management (project  leadership) and consulting skills
  • Object Oriented Analysis and Design, including the use of UML and design patterns, would be an advantage
  • Fluency in English and German
