Country Manager Italy (m/f)

We currently have a job opening for a Conutry Manager Italy, available at the soonest possible starting date. The position is based in Milan, Italy.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing of revenues and member development in Italy
  • Monitoring and regular reporting on developments in Italian Social networking software/Web 2.0
  • Acting as representative of XING in the Italian market (online & offline)
  • Building up and managing of XING team in Italy
  • Promoting XING and creating visibility and awareness within the market in collaboration with the Marketing and PR (Corporate Communications) teams at headquarters
  • Interacting with several departments at headquarters to define and deploy the correct local strategy
  • Establishing and maintaining key strategic relationships with business partners in Italy

 
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the Italian online market and contacts in this business sector
  • Experience leading intercultural teams or project teams
  • Strong project management skills
  • Five to seven years of experience in International Business Development and/or expert knowledge in Sales and Marketing in the Internet industry, preferably also proven experience working in the Italian market
  • Ideally, experience in PR activities 
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree required and MBA would be a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Strong team player
  • Self-starter with a high level of commitment
  • Good business acumen
  • Fluency in Italian and English is essential, ideally fluency in German as well
